Role Summary
We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our administrative team in Jena at the earliest opportunity. This role is responsible for payroll processing, salary accounting, and the ongoing enhancement of HR procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Fully manage payroll and salary accounting for assigned employee groups.
- Ensure accurate completion of all payroll-related tasks in compliance with legal regulations.
- Handle correspondence and communication with authorities, health insurance providers, and social security agencies including reporting and certification obligations.
- Manage statutory employee registrations and deregistrations at the start and end of employment.
- Serve as a knowledgeable contact for managers and staff on payroll and compensation matters.
- Monitor and process timekeeping systems.
- Prepare HR-related reports.
- Perform operational administrative duties such as maintaining personnel master data and managing employee records both physical and digital.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of HR processes and participate in special projects.
Qualifications
- Completed commercial training, preferably specialized in payroll, salary accounting, or related fields.
- Additional qualifications like Personnel Clerk certification, IHK Payroll Specialist, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Several years of professional experience in payroll and salary accounting.
- Solid knowledge of social security law and payroll tax regulations is preferred.
- Proficient in using P&I LOGA payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Organized, independent, and precise working style.
- High level of discretion, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
