  • RRSP matching
  • Employee Share Purchase Plan participation
  • Short-Term Incentive Plan participation
  • Paid vacation time
  • Employee Assistance Program

Key duties

  • Run end-to-end payroll for assigned locations and companies, including audits, reconciliations, and preparation of year-end tax documents.
  • Track, verify, and reconcile time and attendance records so they align with payroll deadlines and processing requirements.
  • Work with operations teams to fix timekeeping issues and improve controls around time capture.
  • Maintain employee master data for hires, exits, changes, and leaves, ensuring smooth integration with payroll systems.
  • Keep payroll procedures, standard operating documents, and tools current while following privacy rules and labour law requirements.
  • Apply collective agreements, internal policies, and handbook rules in unionized and field-based environments, and help resolve payroll issues tied to actual work performed.
  • Answer employee questions related to pay and coordinate with HR and Finance to close payroll discrepancies.
  • Assist with payroll system upkeep, testing, and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Contribute to a cooperative and accountable team culture by sharing knowledge and supporting coworkers.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant has at least two years of full-cycle payroll experience handling both salaried and hourly staff.
