About the Role
We are partnering with a client seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join their friendly and expanding team in Gladesville. This role offers a great chance to work in a collaborative setting that values accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth and timely payroll operations while also supporting the broader finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll cycle for weekly and fortnightly pay periods.
- Maintain accurate employee records and update payroll information.
- Interpret and apply relevant awards, enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs), and employment contracts.
- Oversee superannuation contributions, payroll tax obligations, and all statutory reporting requirements.
- Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries promptly.
- Contribute to payroll audits and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Assist in enhancing current processes and implementing system upgrades.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of two years of prior experience in a payroll function.
- A thorough understanding of current payroll legislation and compliance standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and effective problem-solving abilities.
- The capacity to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Proficiency with payroll software such as MYOB, Xero, Kronos, or comparable systems.
