Role Overview
Due to expanding operations, MGA Whittles is recruiting a skilled Payroll Officer to join the Finance team at the national headquarters located in Dulwich, South Australia. This role involves managing precise, prompt, compliant payroll procedures across several entities and states.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute complete payroll processing for multiple locations and states.
- Accurately manage payroll calculations, deductions, superannuation contributions, payroll taxes, and statutory payments within deadlines.
- Handle and review detailed manual payroll computations.
- Ensure all payroll practices align with Australian legislation, employment awards, and statutory standards.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and generate reports to assist in audit processes.
- Address payroll inquiries with exceptional support for employees and management.
- Maintain precise payroll records and suggest improvements to payroll procedures.
Candidate Profile
This is a hands-on position suited for an expert payroll professional who thrives in managing complex payroll tasks while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and superior service. Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in end-to-end payroll processing, preferably in medium to large organisations.
- Solid understanding of Australian payroll laws, awards, and statutory obligations.
- Strong communication skills and adept at handling multiple priorities.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications, especially Excel at an intermediate level.
