About the Role
Join one of Victoria's largest regional health services as a Payroll Officer, contributing to accurate and timely payroll processing. This position offers a permanent part-time engagement of 80 hours per fortnight with benefits including additional days off, generous annual leave, and salary packaging options.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end payroll activities including timesheet processing, allowance calculations, leave management, termination settlements, and adjustments, ensuring compliance with awards, legislation, and organizational policies.
- Provide excellent payroll support by handling inquiries through the ServiceNow platform, resolving issues efficiently or escalating when necessary.
- Maintain payroll accuracy by overseeing Time & Attendance and rostering processes, troubleshooting exceptions, and investigating inconsistencies across different systems.
- Keep payroll records compliant and engage in continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies, aiding system upgrades, and staying up-to-date with evolving payroll legislation requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in payroll or a related administrative function, demonstrating strong computer literacy, especially proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with rostering software is advantageous.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service focus and the capability to develop positive working relationships and respond professionally to various queries.
- Highly organized and able to balance multiple priorities independently and collaboratively, with the ability to meet deadlines within a dynamic setting.
- Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, accuracy, and a dedication to delivering high-quality results while maintaining confidentiality.
