Job description
Role overview
This is a full-time remote position that blends payroll, accounts payable, and finance administration responsibilities. The role sits within a financial services environment and focuses on accurate payment processing, compliance, record keeping, and support for wider finance operations.
Payroll responsibilities
You will manage the end-to-end payroll workflow, including reviewing payroll inputs, processing salary payments on time, and ensuring statutory deductions and payroll taxes are calculated correctly in line with local requirements.
Accounts payable duties
The position also covers accounts payable work such as checking invoices, arranging payments, reconciling vendor statements, and keeping financial records complete and up to date.
Finance administration support
In addition to payroll and AP tasks, you will help prepare financial reports, assist with month-end close activities, maintain documentation, and support audits as needed. You will also work with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to resolve payroll and payment-related issues.
Required capabilities
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently in a remote setting, handling multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail, solid spreadsheet ability, and familiarity with accounting or payroll systems are important. Experience in a regulated financial services environment is considered helpful.
Additional requirements
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred. Knowledge of local employment laws, tax rules, and financial compliance requirements will be an advantage.
