About the Role

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator for a contract position in Singapore. This role is integral to the payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing for employees across Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia. You will be responsible for a variety of payroll tasks, collaborating closely with the HR and accounting teams, and serving as a key point of contact for external payroll providers.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a broad spectrum of payroll duties, including the preparation and management of payroll for Australian, Singaporean, and Malaysian employees.
  • Gather and verify all necessary payroll-related data to ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee and approve employee pay elements, ensuring they are correctly processed.
  • Generate salary sheets and comprehensive reports for management review.
  • Submit payment authorizations or files to meet strict payroll deadlines.
  • Provide the accounting team with general ledger payroll booking information within established timelines.
  • Fulfill monthly and year-end external reporting obligations.
  • Administer employee leave, maintaining accurate balances, entitlements, and payment calculations.
  • Liaise with the HR department to ensure data and system alignment and compliance, updating payroll-associated information as needed.
  • Support the Financial Controller with reporting tasks and audit/compliance activities.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries from the broader business, potentially attending meetings to provide clarification and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by undertaking any duties within your skill set to support the payroll team and the organization.
  • Ensure comprehensive support for the payroll function, adhering to accurate and timely processes to meet all deadlines.
  • Process, approve, store, and maintain all relevant information compliantly, meeting internal control and procedural requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for external payroll support vendors.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft software, including Excel, Outlook, Windows Explorer, and Internet Explorer.
  • Experience managing payroll for multiple countries.
  • Familiarity with Australian payroll, including PAYG, superannuation, fair work regulations, and leave entitlements is highly desirable.
  • Certification in Accounting, HR, or Payroll is preferred.

This is a contract position based in Singapore.
