Job Overview
Our High Risk Obstetrics (OB) office is seeking a reliable full-time team member to perform various office functions related to medical records management and front desk operations. This role involves handling patient interactions, managing medical documentation, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth office workflow.
Work Schedule and Compensation
This is a Monday through Friday position with a full benefits package. The compensation is competitive, positioned within the 90th percentile of the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently answer incoming telephone calls and assist callers.
- Organize and file patient information accurately in the correct charts.
- Request and obtain medical records from external referring offices in a timely manner.
- Complete medical record requests promptly within established timeframes.
- Schedule appointments for patients.
- Manage patient check-ins, including verifying demographic and insurance information.
- Collect co-payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Handle patient check-outs and arrange follow-up visits.
- Maintain precise and quality documentation of all records.
- Ensure the confidentiality and protection of all medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or medical front desk role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success.
- Strong attention to detail paired with exceptional organizational abilities.
- Physical capability to perform duties including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting as needed.
