Overview
Join a patient intake and admissions role focused on helping new patients begin care smoothly and accurately. This position centers on collecting and validating intake details, checking insurance coverage, reviewing prescription information, and coordinating the next steps in the care-start process. The work emphasizes precision, documentation quality, and patient coordination instead of heavy call volume.
You will partner with patients, caregivers, referral sources, and internal teams to make sure every intake requirement is completed in a timely and compliant way, helping avoid delays in starting care.
Schedule and Start Date
Start date: 8/3/26.
Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 AM EST.
Compensation
Hourly pay starts at $18.00, plus a stipend.
What You Will Do
- Gather and enter complete demographic and clinical details for new patient admissions.
- Confirm insurance eligibility and review plan benefits.
- Submit authorization requests and track them through follow-up when required.
- Check prescription validity and flag any missing paperwork or other required documents.
- Speak with patients and referral sources to collect intake information.
- Work with internal teams to support a prompt start of care.
- Keep records accurate and compliant with HIPAA requirements.
Onsite Operational Support
Along with the main intake duties, the role also helps support branch operations and compliance through office and safety-related tasks.
- Keep the office space orderly and organized.
- Track enteral formula storage temperatures according to safety standards.
- Carry out regular safety inspections, including fire extinguisher checks.
- Oversee inventory for supplies and equipment.
- Maintain separate clean and dirty equipment areas in line with health protocols.
- Assist customers, vendors, and surveyors during site visits.

Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in healthcare intake, medical office administration, or insurance support.
- Prior experience with insurance verification or authorizations is preferred.
- Experience in home health, DME, or a medical office is an advantage.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
