Job description
Role overview
Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Patient Insight & Engagement Manager to strengthen patient, carer and public involvement across the organisation. This position will be central to building a culture where feedback is actively sought, heard and turned into improvement, with a strong focus on people who are often less represented in services.
You will work closely with the Head of Patient & Public Involvement & Voice to make sure the Trust has effective systems, policies and processes in place to manage patient and public involvement activity in a proactive and consistent way.
The role calls for an experienced and motivating leader who can help the organisation improve patient experience through meaningful engagement, collaboration and evidence-based action. You will lead a Patient Engagement Team and work alongside clinical and operational leaders to embed co-production, inclusion and continuous improvement.
What the role involves
You will shape how patient insight is collected, interpreted and used, including feedback gathered through surveys, digital tools and patient stories. A key part of the job is ensuring that insight leads to practical service changes and that the organisation responds visibly to what patients and carers say.
You will also help make sure seldom-heard groups are properly represented, supporting efforts to reduce inequalities and improve experience for all communities. In addition, you will provide expert advice, training and practical support across the Trust so teams can handle feedback, complaints and emerging themes effectively.
The role is about making “you said, we did” a real and consistent approach across the Trust, translating insight into action and improvement.
