Overview
This remote position, offered by a partner organization operating across the United States, seeks a Patient Experience Coordinator committed to enhancing patient access to quality healthcare. The role focuses on delivering timely, compassionate communication and seamless support throughout the patient's care journey by integrating customer experience, healthcare coordination, and operational excellence in a tech-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for patients, guiding them clearly and supportively through their healthcare processes.
- Maintain patient communications across phone, email, text, and digital channels with professionalism and empathy.
- Respond to non-clinical inquiries, requests, and issues promptly while ensuring suitable follow-up actions.
- Work collaboratively with care coordination, billing, clinical operations, and other internal teams to streamline patient workflows.
- Escalate clinical, billing, or access concerns to the appropriate specialized teams as needed.
- Accurately document all patient interactions in compliance with organizational workflows, privacy regulations, and standards.
- Manage multiple patient conversations simultaneously in a fast-paced remote environment, meeting service expectations.
- Identify and report recurring patient issues to help improve processes and patient satisfaction.
- Contribute to operational initiatives aimed at enhancing communication efficiency and overall patient experience quality.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum two years of experience in healthcare coordination, patient support, care navigation, customer success, or similar patient-facing healthcare roles.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills coupled with empathy, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
- Capacity to work autonomously in a remote setting while engaging effectively with distributed teams.
- Proficiency with digital communication tools, healthcare technology platforms, or patient engagement systems.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities with adherence to defined processes.
- Analytical skills to monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and suggest operational enhancements.
- Passion for enhancing patient experiences and broadening healthcare access.
- Availability to work during Pacific or Eastern Time business hours.
- Experience with healthcare automation, telehealth, or operational workflows is advantageous.
