Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position located in the Northern Emirates involves managing patient admission and discharge processes specifically for home health services. The Patient Coordinator ensures smooth scheduling of appointments and facilitates effective communication among patients, their families, and clinical personnel.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient admissions and departures for home health care programs.
- Manage scheduling of appointments and liaise with healthcare providers to arrange home visits.
- Field incoming calls, offering clear and accurate information concerning available services.
- Maintain thorough and precise patient records and relevant documentation.
- Verify insurance details and patient eligibility prior to service delivery.
- Address patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with internal departments to promote efficient and empathetic service provision.
- Contribute towards ongoing enhancement of the patient experience.
Qualifications
- Proficient phone etiquette and strong communication abilities for interfacing with patients, families, and clinical teams.
- Fluent Arabic speaking skills required.
- Experience in appointment scheduling and reception duties for effective patient management.
- Understanding of medical terminology to accurately handle clinical information and documentation.
- Prior experience in patient coordination, customer service, or healthcare administration, preferably in home health or clinical environments.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous time management, capable of handling several cases concurrently.
- Familiarity with computers and competency in electronic health record or scheduling software.
- Ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams and uphold a patient-focused service approach.
- Educational background including a diploma or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related discipline is desirable.
