Job Summary
We are seeking a Full-Time Patient Coordinator for our Throggs Neck office. This role is crucial for managing all front office operations and providing essential support to patients, healthcare providers, and the administrative team. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is a prerequisite for this position.
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring 30+ hours per week. The schedule involves availability Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays, within operating hours of 7 am to 7 pm. Flexibility to support the team and cover shifts as needed is essential.
Patient Coordinator/Medical Receptionist Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage all incoming phone calls, appointment scheduling, and online inquiries, ensuring a positive caller experience and timely responses.
- Cultivate a professional and welcoming environment to elevate the quality of service and care provided to patients and their respective providers.
- Proactively understand the provider-to-patient workflow and anticipate the needs of the provider.
- Undertake inventory management, including stocking supplies and equipment as directed.
- Participate in all internal training sessions and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Previous healthcare experience is mandatory.
- Experience as a Medical Receptionist is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR software and patient scheduling systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities are necessary.
- Demonstrated excellence in patient relations and customer service skills.
- Must exhibit professionalism, reliability, and a dedicated work ethic.
- Prior experience in a dermatology or medical office setting is preferred.
- Must possess open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.
