About the Role
Join Visiting Angels of Boise as a Patient Care Aide (PCA) serving clients in Caldwell, Nampa, Meridian, and nearby areas. This position offers the chance to positively impact seniors' lives by supporting their independence and comfort at home. Part-time onsite shifts are available with flexible scheduling options including days and weekends.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene and daily self-care routines.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
- Encourage and support clients in meeting fitness and exercise goals.
- Remind and assist clients in taking prescribed medications on schedule.
- Help with grocery shopping or putting away groceries as needed.
- Prepare meals collaboratively with clients, respecting their preferences and abilities.
- Support client mobility and ambulation, including walking, moving around the house, and doctor visits.
Respond promptly and appropriately during any medical emergencies and report any changes or unusual health conditions to supervisors.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent credential.
- Strong skills in managing time effectively.
- Reliable transportation to attend client appointments.
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Experience or familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
- Ability to successfully pass background and drug screening checks.
- Knowledge or training in First Aid and emergency response procedures.
- Compassion and empathy for assisting vulnerable elderly individuals.
- Willingness to adhere to state and company health and safety protocols.

Shift Availability
- Full-time and part-time options.
