About the Role
This position involves providing expert advice and technical assistance on automotive parts to dealership parts departments nationwide. The specialist will serve as the main contact point for dealer inquiries through various communication channels, assisting with parts pricing, sales support, inventory planning, and product development. Responsibilities include managing dealer backorders with timely stock updates, building strong relationships within the dealer network, keeping abreast of competitor activities and market trends, and collaborating with warehousing, service, and supplier teams to ensure exceptional dealer service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert interpretation and technical support related to automotive parts for dealership teams.
- Serve as the primary contact for dealer questions via phone, email, and online platforms.
- Support pricing, quoting, and sales efforts for automotive parts.
- Assist in inventory management, stock ordering, and product development initiatives.
- Manage dealer backorders and communicate stock status updates regularly.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships across the dealer network.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategy.
- Coordinate with warehousing, services, and suppliers to ensure dealer satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience working with automotive parts at dealerships, distributors, or original equipment manufacturers.
- Proficient in parts interpretation and possess strong technical knowledge of automotive products.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships.
- Customer-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for assisting others.
- Experience in inventory control and stock management.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Comfortable navigating multiple systems and dealer management software.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work autonomously.
