Job Overview
The Parts Sales Executive plays a crucial role in boosting spare parts sales by offering precise parts identification, technical assistance, and prompt customer service. This position involves managing customer queries, preparing and following up on quotations, coordinating order processing, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining customer satisfaction and profitability.
Primary Duties
- Handle inquiries from customers and workshops by accurately identifying necessary spare parts using resources such as Parts Catalogs and EPC systems.
- Prepare quotations, pursue offer follow-ups, assist in negotiations, and adhere to company pricing and profitability policies.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, workshops, fleet owners, and commercial clients.
- Collaborate closely with warehouse, procurement, and inventory teams to confirm parts availability and timely dispatch.
- Monitor and manage backorders, special orders, and pending deliveries to completion.
- Address customer feedback, complaints, and product return requests, ensuring effective resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Keep track of market trends, competitor behavior, and product availability to support business expansion.
- Maintain precise documentation and generate reports concerning quotations, orders, deliveries, and backorders.
- Ensure adherence to company guidelines regarding pricing, discounts, and parts returns.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Have 3 to 5 years of experience in spare parts sales, parts coordination, or aftersales support, preferably in marine, heavy equipment, or power generation sectors.
- Familiarity with Electronic Parts Catalogs (EPC), ERP systems, and inventory management tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Skills and Competencies
