Role Overview

The Parts Man supports the dealership warehouse by receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching genuine automotive parts. The position is important for keeping stock records accurate, ensuring workshop needs are met on time, and helping service operations run smoothly for retail customers and branch transfers. The role calls for a disciplined, detail-oriented, and physically active team member who can handle valuable, fragile, and high-voltage components safely.

Key Duties

• Check incoming parts against purchase orders and delivery notes, confirming quantities, part numbers, and physical condition.
• Flag shortages, damages, missing items, or wrong deliveries to the Parts Supervisor without delay.
• Store parts in the correct bin locations while following FIFO rules and OEM storage standards.
• Maintain the correct handling and storage conditions for fragile items, fluids, batteries, tyres, lubricants, and hazardous materials.
• Use approved procedures and protective gear when dealing with high-voltage battery parts and other sensitive components.
• Pick parts for workshop repair orders, retail sales, body shop needs, and branch transfers using issued pick lists.
• Confirm quantities and part numbers before dispatch to reduce workshop delays and customer issues.
• Pack items securely for transport, giving extra care to delicate, oversized, or high-value parts.
• Send parts to internal teams, customers, and other branches on schedule, while keeping delivery records and dispatch proof.
• Respond to urgent workshop requests to help reduce vehicle downtime and service interruptions.
• Carry out daily cycle counts and assist with stock takes to support inventory accuracy and traceability.
• Monitor inventory for damage, expiry, obsolescence, and slow movement, and report issues for corrective action.
• Follow proper stock rotation practices and help reduce shrinkage, losses, and binning mistakes.
• Keep labels, bin locations, and overall warehouse organization accurate across storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and 5S discipline throughout the warehouse.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, trolleys, and other material-handling equipment safely and within certification limits.
• Follow HSE rules, including safe lifting, PPE use, chemical handling, and hazardous goods procedures.
• Comply with OEM requirements, customs rules, audit checks, and internal controls related to parts traceability and inventory management.

Education and Experience

A high school certificate or vocational diploma is required. A qualification in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain is an added advantage, and forklift certification is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3 years of experience in a parts warehouse, automotive dealership, or logistics setting. Experience working with genuine automotive spare parts is strongly preferred, and prior exposure to high-volume dealership operations is beneficial.

Technical and Language Skills

The role requires familiarity with warehouse management functions in DMS, ERP, or WMS systems, as well as barcode scanning, stock movement processes, and warehouse documentation. The candidate should be able to read and verify part numbers, pick lists, shipping papers, and transfer requests accurately. Basic computer skills are needed for stock entry, goods receipt confirmation, and inventory reporting. Reading and writing in both Arabic and English is also required for day-to-day warehouse work and documentation.

The role depends on strong warehouse discipline, safe handling practices, and accurate stock movement to support workshop productivity, customer satisfaction, and aftersales performance. Maintaining order, compliance, and traceability is essential in a high-paced dealership environment.
