H.AAPI is a nonprofit focused on supporting the AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) community through networking opportunities, programs, resources, and practical tools. The organization works to offer affordable, accessible, and high-quality events, webinars, and services that help people and the broader community grow and succeed.

Its mission is especially centered on students, young professionals, and working professionals. H.AAPI aims to create flexible and inclusive networking events, workshops, and webinars that connect people across different life stages, interests, fields, and goals. Role Overview

The Partnerships & Sponsorships Lead is responsible for building and managing strategic relationships that increase the organization’s visibility, deepen community involvement, and bring in both financial and in-kind support. This position focuses on identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with sponsors, nonprofits, community groups, local businesses, and other aligned organizations.

Working Hours and Role Conditions

All positions are unpaid volunteer roles. The expected commitment is 10 to 15 hours per week. No volunteer should work more than 8 hours unless they have discussed it with a manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen partnerships with corporations, nonprofits, educational institutions, government bodies, and community organizations.
  • Research sponsorship opportunities that fit the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Create sponsorship tiers, partnership materials, and tailored proposals for potential collaborators.
  • Act as the primary contact for sponsors and external partners.
  • Keep communication active and track agreements, commitments, and renewal timelines.
  • Work closely with Communications, Programs, and Leadership teams on partnership-related initiatives.
  • Compile updates and reports on partnership activity, sponsorship income, and overall impact.
  • Help support volunteer recruitment through relevant community partnerships when needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong ability to build relationships, network, and engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Background in fundraising, sales, marketing, community engagement, or partnership development.
  • Strong planning, organization, and project coordination abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote team environment while staying collaborative.
  • Genuine interest in community service and the organization’s mission.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior exposure to corporate sponsorships or nonprofit partnership work.
  • Experience using CRM platforms or donor tracking systems.
  • Background working with nonprofit teams or volunteer-led groups.
