About the Role
This is a part-time position for a UI/UX Designer based in Australia, offering a chance to craft intuitive and captivating digital experiences across both web and mobile platforms. The role involves close collaboration with product managers and developers to convert ideas, user demands, and business targets into effective designs. The focus is on creating seamless user flows, elegant interfaces, and scalable design systems while contributing throughout the entire product design life cycle from research through final implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside product managers and stakeholders to grasp product goals, user requirements, and business needs.
- Design comprehensive user experiences including flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity screens for digital applications.
- Develop visually engaging and user-friendly designs to maximize usability and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and align with the intended user experience.
- Iterate designs informed by user feedback, data analytics, and product insights.
- Maintain and enhance design systems to ensure uniformity across digital products.
- Communicate design rationale transparently and provide detailed UX/UI documentation to cross-disciplinary teams.
- Engage in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and product discussions.
- Utilize AI-aided design tools like Midjourney, Figma AI, ChatGPT, or Claude to boost creativity, idea generation, and streamline repetitive tasks.
- Stay informed on evolving design trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve product experiences.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in UX/UI or product design with a strong portfolio of web and mobile projects.
- Experience in designing user interfaces and experiences, ideally within Web3, fintech, or tech-focused industries.
- Fluency in design software such as Figma, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalents.
- Solid grasp of responsive and mobile-first design strategies.
- Able to translate user and business needs into coherent and effective design solutions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with product and engineering groups.
- Experience producing wireframes, prototypes, design systems, and detailed user experience documentation.
- Basic knowledge of frontend development concepts and the handoff process to developers is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-driven design workflows and creative automation tools is advantageous.
- High attention to detail, problem-solving capability, and ability to prioritize tasks independently.
