About Jovie and Role Overview
Jovie is seeking flexible and engaging part-time nannies to join their on-call team supporting multiple families in Mill Creek, WA. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with childcare experience such as babysitting, daycare work, or retired teaching professionals looking for a smaller, more personalized environment than a classroom. The role involves working with infants and toddlers, focusing on providing safe, hands-on activities tailored to the children's developmental needs without involving transportation or household chores beyond tidying up after activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-home childcare, primarily for infants and toddlers under age 2.
- Maintain safety while engaging children through developmentally appropriate activities.
- Perform basic clean-up related to childcare activities or meals without additional household duties.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $22 to $25.
- Paid training and a nanny kit equipped with age-appropriate activities and games.
- Access to career advancement opportunities within childcare, including chances for consistent placement with families.
- Paid sick leave applicable for both part-time and full-time schedules.
- Additional benefits for full-time workers such as medical stipends, paid vacation, paid holidays, student loan repayment matching, and retirement savings matching.
- Extra perks including mileage reimbursement, bonuses based on performance feedback, contests, and community events for support.
- Legal employment status with W-2, unemployment insurance, and resume-building experience.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Experience working with children, both paid or volunteer, with mandatory infant care experience.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to various homes within the area.
- Availability for at least three weekdays per week for shifts lasting 6 to 8 hours between 7 am and 7 pm.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, friendly demeanor when interacting with families and the staffing supervisor.
