Role overview

A global insurance company is hiring a part-time Customer Service Consultant to join its busy inbound contact centre in Brisbane CBD. This is a fully in-office position designed for experienced call centre professionals who work well in a structured, KPI-focused setting and prefer early shifts that wrap up by late morning.

The role offers an hourly rate of $37.13 plus superannuation, along with penalty rates. It is best suited to dependable customer service operators who enjoy routine, consistency, and a high-accountability environment.

Key duties

  • Manage a high volume of inbound customer calls, including sensitive and time-critical matters.
  • Guide customer conversations with confidence and take responsibility for resolving outcomes.
  • Operate within a structured environment where KPIs and quality standards are closely tracked.
  • Work across 3 to 5 systems at once while keeping service accurate and efficient.
  • Follow the roster pattern of Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 11:00am after training.
  • Complete two weeks of paid training and continue with ongoing support afterwards.
  • Remain office-based for at least the first six months in the Brisbane CBD location.

Candidate profile

  • Available for a rotating weekday roster between 6:00am and 11:00am, including 6:00am–10:00am, 6:00am–11:00am, and 7:00am–11:00am shifts.
  • Comfortable working consistently from early morning hours.
  • Seeking stable, ongoing part-time employment rather than short-term flexibility.
  • Has previous experience in a fast-paced, phone-based contact centre.
  • Able to juggle multiple systems while speaking with customers.
  • Confident working to KPIs, targets, and quality requirements.
  • Demonstrates reliability, strong tenure, and consistent attendance.
  • Open to feedback, coaching, and changing priorities when needed.
  • Strong communicator who can lead conversations and manage customer interactions effectively.
  • Able to work onsite in Brisbane CBD on a part-time basis.
  • Must hold full Australian work rights without restrictions.
  • Must be able to clear a police check.

This is a high-accountability role. Reference checks will be completed early in the hiring process, including checks focused on attendance and reliability.
