The Sport & Youth Hostel Rheine accommodates 160 guests and welcomes approximately 15,000 visitors annually, including families, school classes, sports groups, and participants of leisure camps. The facility, featuring a large outdoor area, is located directly adjacent to the city park and has recently reopened in April 2024 following renovations.

Role Description and Key Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, ensuring compliance with economic efficiency and maintaining quality standards.
• Perform preparatory tasks such as cutting, plating, and portioning.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and equipment as well as the dining area, always adhering to hygiene and quality guidelines.
• Properly store inventory and conduct regular quality checks on supplies.
• Support daily kitchen operations effectively.
• Set up buffet and manage food service distribution.

Desired Qualifications and Attributes

• Passion for cooking and working within a kitchen environment.
• Strong teamwork, dependability, and commitment to hygiene standards.
• Previous experience in gastronomy is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Willingness to engage with a diverse range of guest groups, enjoy varied daily tasks.
• Ability to handle workload, responsible and trustworthy character traits.
