Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time barista to join the Ladies & Gentlemen Cafe Diner team located in Marrickville, NSW. This Taiwanese-style cafe is situated close to Newtown station and adjacent to a bus stop in Enmore, offering a convenient and pleasant workplace environment.
About the Employer
The cafe is operated by a kind and supportive couple, with a regular clientele mostly consisting of local families and their children. The environment provides ample opportunity to practice English communication skills, suitable for those with basic proficiency.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages with quality and consistency.
- Deliver friendly, welcoming customer service, engaging warmly with locals including families and children.
- Collaborate effectively with the small cafe team to maintain smooth daily operations.
- Work a four-day week schedule including both Saturday and Sunday shifts.
Qualifications
- Some experience as a barista is preferred; however, training will be provided.
- Ability to communicate in English at a basic-intermediate level to interact with customers and team members.
- Must be a reliable and friendly team player, committed to excellent customer service.
- Eligible candidates include those on working holiday, student, or permanent resident visas.
