Position Overview

We invite you to join Festival Foods as a Bagging Associate, a vital member of our retail team focused on exceptional guest experiences. Reporting to the Guest Service Department Manager, you will help create a welcoming shopping environment to encourage customers to return repeatedly.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide warm greetings and assist guests during check-out to ensure friendly, attentive customer service.
  • Efficiently bag groceries following established procedures to safeguard product quality and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, ensuring supplies are well-stocked.
  • Communicate guest requests and feedback promptly to supervisors.
  • Deliver courteous and timely parcel pick-up services for customers.
  • Support team objectives by helping maintain store standards and quality expectations, especially by 10 am and 5 pm daily.
  • Assist with other tasks as required to contribute to overall team success.
  • Uphold punctuality and consistent attendance, notifying the team ahead of any absences and arranging for coverage.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Demonstrates a friendly demeanor and the ability to create a welcoming shopping experience.
  • Pays close attention when bagging to preserve product condition.
  • Works well within a team and communicates effectively with both customers and coworkers.
  • Possesses basic literacy and numeracy skills and can operate necessary point-of-sale equipment.

Physical and Work Environment Considerations

  • Capable of standing for extended periods, walking the store, bending, stooping, and lifting or pushing items weighing 15–20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Requires finger dexterity and good hand-eye-foot coordination to handle equipment.
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays regardless of weather conditions.
