Paralegal - Privacy Annotation Specialist (Remote Contract)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Privacy Annotation Specialist for a contract role that allows you to work remotely and contribute 10 to 40 hours per week. The position offers competitive compensation between 105 and 140 dollars per hour. You will focus on reviewing and annotating sensitive legal documents while ensuring strict compliance with data privacy standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carefully examine legal documents to identify and mark Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and other confidential content.
• Leverage expertise in contract review and eDiscovery processes to maintain exceptional accuracy in data annotation and labeling.
• Verify and validate the output generated by Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tools to uphold data quality during legal investigations.
• Work in collaboration with compliance and legal technology teams to adhere to information governance and privacy regulations.
• Conduct thorough quality assurance audits of document groups to ensure conformity with regulatory obligations.
• Effectively communicate insights and suggestions to interdisciplinary teams in a clear and constructive way.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience in contract evaluation, quality assurance, electronic discovery, and compliance management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of PII handling and data privacy laws.
• Professional background as a Paralegal, eDiscovery Specialist, Privacy Analyst, Information Governance Expert, Compliance Manager, or Legal Document Review Lead.
• Hands-on experience managing legal documentation for review, supporting litigation, or overseeing managed legal services.
• Demonstrated ability to responsibly manage highly sensitive information in critical situations.
