What you will do

  • Draft and submit new trade mark filings in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Track trade mark matters through each stage of the registration process.
  • Keep trade mark files, databases, and case management records accurate and current.
  • Watch deadlines closely and make sure all required actions are completed on time.
  • Communicate with clients, overseas associates, trade mark authorities, and other external contacts.
  • Coordinate with solicitors, partners, and internal colleagues to support ongoing client work.
  • Prepare cost estimates, invoices, and related administrative paperwork.
  • Support portfolio administration and reporting tasks.
  • Handle a busy workload while maintaining a high level of precision.
  • Provide broader administrative and ad hoc support to the Intellectual Property team as needed.

  • Working understanding of intellectual property law and/or trade mark procedures.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills with the ability to juggle several tasks at once.
  • Very high attention to detail and a careful approach to accuracy.
  • Comfort working to firm deadlines in a fast-moving setting.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to manage different stakeholders professionally.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and legal case management tools.
  • Self-starting, collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in learning and development.
  • FE1 candidates may also be considered, depending on how far along they are, provided they can commit the necessary time to the role.

What is offered

  • Opportunity to join a leading Intellectual Property practice within a top-tier law firm.
  • Exposure to prominent clients in both domestic and international markets.
  • Supportive and team-oriented workplace culture.
  • Access to ongoing training and career development.
