Job description

Company Overview

Flynn Law Group is a Boston law firm focused on housing, condominium, and commercial property law throughout New England. Established in 2014 by Attorney Frank A. Flynn, who has worked in these practice areas since 1988, the firm has built a reputation for practical solutions, strong outcomes, and client-centered service.

The legal team includes experienced attorneys with respected standing in courts across all six New England states. The firm emphasizes dependable representation at fair, transparent rates and uses a consistent hourly billing approach across attorneys, including partners, so matters are assigned to the most suitable lawyer while keeping budgets under control.

Role Summary

This Boston-based, in-office Paralegal position supports attorneys handling housing, condominium, and commercial property matters. The role involves preparing and organizing legal paperwork, filings, and correspondence, as well as researching facts and law, reviewing and summarizing records, and keeping case files and case management systems accurate and current.

The position also requires regular communication with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties in a professional and timely way. In addition, the Paralegal will help prepare for hearings and trials by assembling exhibits, drafting basic pleadings and motions under attorney supervision, and monitoring deadlines and court appearances.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of legal work related to civil litigation, housing, condominium, or real estate matters.

Experience preparing legal documents such as pleadings, discovery materials, contracts, and court filings is important.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, court staff, and outside parties.

Advanced research and document review skills are expected, including the ability to use legal research tools and clearly organize findings.

Excellent organization, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to balance several cases, deadlines, and priorities in a busy environment are essential.

Working knowledge of legal software, case management platforms, and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required.

An associate’s or bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an accredited program is preferred, although relevant legal experience may be considered in place of formal credentials.

Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in litigation, real estate, or housing law is considered an advantage.

The role also calls for a team-oriented approach and the ability to handle confidential information carefully.
