Role overview
This position is for an OSHC Service Coordinator based at St Paul's College in Gilles Plains, South Australia. The role is part-time and onsite, with guaranteed shifts across school days.
Work schedule and pay
The pay rate is $45.46 per hour plus 12% superannuation. A further $4.32 per hour may be payable through the Worker Retention Payment Scheme. Before-school care runs from 6:50 am to 8:50 am, and after-school care runs from 2:25 pm to 6:10 pm, Monday through Friday. During vacation care, the role offers flexible hours of 38 per week. The position also includes a split shift allowance of $20.42 per day. Professional development sessions are paid training, and retention payments are above award.
Key duties
The coordinator will lead the service, shape engaging programs, maintain a safe and inclusive environment, prepare healthy snacks, work on quality and compliance requirements, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and keep the service operating smoothly day to day.
What the role asks for
The ideal applicant is either qualified in, or studying toward, a Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, School Aged Care, Youth Work, or Community Services. A warm, energetic, and proactive attitude is important. Required or soon-to-be-obtained checks and certifications include a Working With Children Check, Child Protection Training Certificate, First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management. Strong relationship-building skills are essential when working with children, educators, and school leadership.
