Role Overview
This position is responsible for shaping and delivering Avon’s organic social media and influencer marketing strategy to strengthen brand visibility and community engagement while supporting wider business goals.
The role reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing and oversees two direct team members. It also requires close collaboration across functions to turn campaigns into execution.
The job combines strategy with hands-on delivery in a fast-moving setting, including planning, content creation, and management of budgets and external partners.
Organic Social Strategy
- Direct and implement the organic social plan across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube.
- Coordinate social content creation with internal creative teams, outside agencies, and in-house contributors to launch campaigns.
- Shape social-first creative ideas and help produce them directly, including filming and editing, while guiding the team on creating content suited to each platform.
- Maintain the social publishing calendar and keep it aligned with brand priorities.
- Track new social trends and platform features to keep Avon’s presence current and evolving.
- Review channel results and refine content based on engagement, reach, and business outcomes.
Influencer Marketing and Partnerships
- Own the full influencer marketing approach, including paid collaborations, product seeding/PR, and creator-led activations.
- Find, recruit, and grow relationships with creators who genuinely align with the Avon brand.
- Run influencer programs end to end, covering negotiation, contracts, deliverables, reporting, and ongoing improvements.
- Assist with TikTok Shop affiliate initiatives alongside agency partners.
- Lead seasonal creator seeding efforts.
Leadership and Operations
- Manage, mentor, and support a team of two, while setting priorities and balancing workloads across several projects.
- Lead planning and creative brief development for social and influencer initiatives, working with Brand Marketing, Creative, PR, and eCommerce to deliver joined-up campaigns.
- Oversee the organic social and influencer budget, agency partnerships, vendor setup, invoicing, and monthly budget tracking with internal stakeholders.
- Define KPIs and measure performance to improve strategy and business impact.
- Prepare weekly and executive-level updates covering results, learnings, and opportunities for optimization.
Experience and Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in organic social media and influencer marketing, ideally in beauty, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
- Minimum 2 years of people management experience.
- Proven ability to build social strategies that produce measurable business results.
- Strong background managing influencer campaigns from planning through execution and reporting, including PR seeding and gifting programs.
- Experience handling budgets, agencies, and invoice or payment workflows.
- Exposure to TikTok Shop or affiliate commerce programs is considered an advantage.
Skills and Tools
- Strong interest in social media trends, creator communities, platform-native storytelling, and emerging digital channels.
- Ability to create and direct social-first content, including filming and editing, with a portfolio to demonstrate this work.
- Highly organized and self-driven, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a creative environment.
- Analytical approach with experience using social and influencer reporting platforms such as Dash Social, Tribe Dynamics/CreatorIQ, and Skeepers.
- Comfortable appearing on camera and presenting content directly.
Education
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Benefits
- Benefits are available from the first day of employment, including health, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary programs.
- Employees are immediately vested in Avon’s 401(k) matching contributions. Avon matches dollar-for-dollar up to 3% of eligible pay, plus $0.50 per dollar on the next 2% of eligible pay.
- Company-sponsored life insurance, AD&D, and disability coverage, with an option to purchase additional protection.
- Access to commuter support, HRA, and FSA accounts.
- Family care support programs for backup child and elder care.
- Optional benefits include group legal, critical illness, accident, pet insurance, and identity protection coverage.
