Role overview
Grand Hyatt The Red Sea is looking for a Room Service Order Taker to deliver dependable, high-quality service to guests. In this role, you will support the food and beverage team by handling guest orders accurately and ensuring a smooth, customer-friendly experience.
What you'll do
- Respond to guest requests and take room service orders in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Record, confirm, and process orders with accuracy.
- Use your knowledge of menu items and ingredients to guide guest choices when needed.
- Coordinate effectively with the food and beverage team to ensure timely service.
- Handle basic cash-related tasks and use POS tools as required.
- Maintain a service style that is attentive, consistent, and focused on guest satisfaction.
- Work cooperatively with team members in a busy hotel environment.
What we're looking for
- Prior exposure to food and beverage service or customer-facing roles is preferred.
- Clear verbal communication and active listening skills are important.
- You should be able to take and process orders with a high degree of accuracy.
- Basic familiarity with menu items, ingredients, and customer service standards is expected.
- Strong attention to detail and a careful approach to handling information are essential.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment is required.
- A guest-first mindset, team orientation, and willingness to adapt to shift schedules are important.
- Basic understanding of cash handling and POS systems is an advantage.
