Job description
Position Overview
The role of an Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) CNC Consultant centers on the technical operations and infrastructure management of the Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) system, known as Configurable Network Computing (CNC). This position focuses on the installation, setup, upkeep, upgrades, and security of the JDE environment, without involving business logic development or functional module configuration.
Core Responsibilities
- Install and configure essential JD Edwards EnterpriseOne components such as Deployment Server, Enterprise Server, HTML/Web Server, AIS Server, and Server Manager.
- Execute Tools Release upgrades along with ESU and ASU installations.
- Manage the building and deployment of software packages across Development, Testing, and Production environments.
- Create and maintain multiple environment setups including Development (DV), Prototype (PY), and Production (PD).
- Administer user access, roles, and overall system security.
- Configure and manage Object Management Workbench (OMW) and Object Configuration Manager (OCM).
- Monitor system health and resolve performance or operational issues.
- Conduct environment refresh activities, backups, disaster recovery procedures, and system cloning tasks.
- Set up distributed processing frameworks, including batch and job queue configurations.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and developers through system implementations and upgrades.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne version 9.x.
- Expertise in CNC administration and package management.
- Experience configuring and managing OMW and OCM tools.
- Competence in Server Manager operation.
- Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server.
- Familiarity with database systems, specifically Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Hands-on skills in Windows and Linux server administration.
- Ability to perform ESU and ASU application tasks.
- Experience handling Tools Release upgrades.
- Capability in system performance tuning and security administration.
- Proficient in backup strategies and disaster recovery planning.
