Job description
Role overview
Algoleap Technologies is seeking a senior Jira Service Management architect and implementation consultant who can handle both solution design and hands-on delivery for an enterprise engagement.
Assessment and discovery
- Evaluate the current Jira Service Management environment and document the existing state.
- Collect and analyze business as well as technical requirements.
- Identify gaps in process, automation, integrations, and asset management.
Solution architecture
- Design the target-state JSM architecture.
- Define the implementation strategy and the testing approach.
- Prepare detailed design documents and the deployment plan.
Integration and automation
- Plan and build integrations with Kyndryl systems such as Service Desk and Field Services.
- Design integrations with HPE Core Services platforms.
- Improve workflow automation and streamline service management processes.
Platform enhancement
- Strengthen KRAMIT and asset management capabilities inside the current JSM instance.
- Improve configuration, CMDB and asset relationships, reporting, and governance.
Implementation and delivery
- Collaborate closely with the KiwiRail team to deliver the future-state solution.
- Execute the test plan and validate results.
- Fix implementation issues and support a successful rollout.
Transition and documentation
- Transfer the solution to BAU support teams after implementation.
- Create design documents, implementation records, and test outcome reports.
Skills and experience needed
The role requires more than Jira administration alone; the selected professional should be able to act as a solution architect with strong integration and automation capability.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira Service Management architecture and administration.
- Deep understanding of ITSM processes including incident, problem, change, request, and asset management.
- Proven solution architecture background.
- Experience with API-led integrations.
- Ability to automate workflows and optimize service management operations.
- Practical knowledge of Jira Assets, formerly Insight.
- Capability to gather requirements and convert them into solution designs.
- Experience in test planning and execution.
- Client-facing consulting experience.
- Exposure to enterprise integrations with service desk and field service platforms.
- Background in asset and configuration management, including CMDB work.
- Experience on large-scale JSM transformation programs.
