Job description

About the Company

You will join one of Ireland's pioneering compliance-focused organisations that offers representative services to companies outside the EU, helping them meet their regulatory responsibilities across various frameworks including GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss FADP, Digital Services Act, Terrorist Content Online Regulation, and the Network & Information Security 2 Directive. As a leading service provider in this niche, the company has expanded beyond being a one-person operation led by the Managing Director and now seeks additional employees to support growth and maintain client services.

Role Overview

  • Advise clients on their regulatory obligations and how the company’s services can assist them.
  • Handle new client inquiries, create quotes, and initiate service agreements.
  • Oversee ongoing client accounts, including managing annual service renewals.
  • Examine client-submitted documents for inaccuracies or potential misinterpretations.
  • Manage email inboxes by filtering and directing communications appropriately, distinguishing relevant messages from spam on behalf of clients.
  • Participate in daily video meetings with the Managing Director and, in due course, with junior team members.
  • Conduct video discussions to clarify clients’ needs.
  • Follow up with clients for documentation submission and payment processing.
  • Undertake occasional project tasks such as vendor procurement and development of internal documentation including operations manuals and training materials.
  • After establishing in the role, contribute to recruiting, training, and supervising a remote team of 1-3 Operations Assistants performing similar functions.
  • Manage overall company operations during Managing Director’s absences.
  • Represent the organisation at conferences and events when opportunity arises.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Background in legal or compliance fields, ideally at a Senior Paralegal level or equivalent such as a senior legal secretary role.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, Digital Services Act, and related compliance regulations.
  • Proven experience managing small teams, with preference for remote team leadership.
  • Comfort and motivation for working in a remote environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, complemented by excellent writing and numerical competencies.

Compensation and Benefits

  • This position offers the chance to join and influence a growing company, with potential for advancement to a board-level role long term.
  • Primarily remote work with occasional in-person collaboration sessions at co-working spaces alongside the CEO.
  • Remuneration up to €60,000 per annum dependent on experience, supplemented by a performance-related bonus scheme.
  • Support for pursuing professional qualifications such as IAPP or CIPP/E.
