Role Overview
The Operations and Growth Lead is a full-time, remote position tasked with managing daily operations of the marketplace and spearheading initiatives that drive user growth. Responsibilities include overseeing platform activities, troubleshooting operational challenges, streamlining processes that support service providers and customers, and collaborating with product and support teams to enhance user experience.
Additional duties involve executing growth experiments to increase engagement and retention, managing key operational metrics, formulating policies that uphold safety, fairness, and trust, maintaining documentation, working with cross-functional partners, and regularly reporting results to company leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficiency in operations management including process design, workflow optimization, and performance tracking.
- Experience developing growth strategies and implementing user acquisition and retention tactics for digital marketplaces or platforms.
- Competence in analyzing data through analytics tools to guide decisions and assess impact.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively, especially in a remote and cross-functional setup.
- Proven problem-solving skills and capability to make decisions in dynamic, fast-changing environments.
- Familiarity with online marketplace or financial technology platforms; exposure to the Nigerian market is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Operations Management, or related disciplines, or equivalent work experience.
- A demonstrated commitment to upholding user trust, safety, and fairness through established practices.
