Role Overview
Join His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service as an Operational Support Grade (OSG) at HMP The Verne and HMP Portland. This crucial position involves supporting the smooth and secure day-to-day operations of these busy prisons. The role combines a diverse range of tasks, including security checks and searches at entry points, managing deliveries, supervising visitors, and monitoring communications and CCTV.
Key responsibilities also include physical duties such as lifting, carrying, and escorting vehicles within the prison grounds. A valid full UK Driving Licence is essential as driving duties are an integral part of the role.
