About the Role
Blossom Multi Speciality Hospital seeks a dedicated Operation Theatre (OT) Technician to support surgical teams by preparing and maintaining operating theatre environments. This role ensures that all instruments and equipment are sterilized and arranged correctly, adhering to strict infection control and patient safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up the operating theatre ahead of surgical procedures.
- Carry out sterilization and systematic arrangement of surgical instruments.
- Provide assistance to surgeons and nursing staff during operations.
- Inspect and verify the functionality of OT equipment.
- Implement infection control protocols diligently.
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to OT operations.
- Handle biomedical waste in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Support emergency surgical procedures when needed.
- Ensure compliance with NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) standards.
Requirements and Eligibility
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT / B.Sc. OTT).
- Experience range from freshers to candidates with up to 5 years in OT environments.
- Familiarity with OT protocols, sterilization techniques, anesthesia equipment, and teamwork.
- Effective communication skills and a preference for candidates with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
