Job description
About the role
JadeClass Education Singapore is looking for energetic, confident, and adaptable teachers for upcoming English-language programs. The role is focused on online instruction and is best suited to educators who can follow a fixed timetable and deliver high-quality lessons consistently.
Pay is competitive at 75–100 USD per class, and this amount includes lesson preparation, pre-class recorded practice, and the live session. The team is seeking teachers who can commit to a set schedule from early September through January, with additional spring opportunities possibly available. For the Summer 2026 semester, classes will run from early July through late August.
Applications will only be reviewed if a video introduction is included.
About the school
JadeClass Education Singapore offers enrichment learning for strong English students who are preparing to continue their studies abroad. Learners are between 6 and 16 years old and are screened for their English ability, conduct, and motivation. The program emphasizes practical skills that support students in their academic growth.
Teachers are expected to deliver live online classes using materials and guidance prepared by the curriculum team.
Teaching format
Each small-group course places one teacher with eight students. The class is conducted on the ClassIn platform, and each week includes two 90-minute lessons. Lesson content is prepared in advance by the design team, and past class recordings are available to help clarify expectations. Student interaction includes multiple-choice activities, written submissions, and oral discussion.
Responsibilities
- Lead lively, high-energy online lessons for groups of eight students.
- Study the provided materials and join practice sessions to maintain teaching quality.
- Complete the assigned series of classes reliably, without missing sessions or requesting reschedules.
Schedule
For Summer 2026, the course runs from early July to late August. Classes are held twice each week either on Monday and Thursday or on Wednesday and Saturday, with lesson times falling between 08:30 and 20:30 Singapore time (UTC+8).
- July–August: Monday and Thursday, 08:30–20:30 (UTC+8)
- July–August: Wednesday and Saturday, 08:30–20:30 (UTC+8)
Compensation
Pay is 66 USD per hour for a newly taught lesson, which equals 100 USD for each 90-minute class. For lessons already taught before, compensation is 50 USD per hour, or 75 USD for each 90-minute class. Payment covers the time spent actually teaching, while additional unpaid time is expected for reviewing the lesson, preparing the demo, and recording a practice session without students.
Payments are issued through Wise on a monthly basis, typically between the 10th and 12th of each month.
Applicant requirements
- You must be able to prepare for every scheduled lesson and attend consistently.
- A lively, outgoing, and talkative personality is preferred.
- You should be able to think clearly and explain ideas in a simple, logical way.
- Applicants should be able to observe other teachers and replicate the required teaching approach.
- A neat, professional appearance is expected.
- A positive attitude is important.
- You should be open to feedback and willing to adapt to standards.
- Strong spoken English with accurate grammar, clear pronunciation, and precise diction is required.
Technology requirements
- Reliable high-speed internet with at least 20 Mbps upload and download speed.
- A modern computer with a benchmark score above 10,000 on CPU Benchmark.
Application process
To apply, candidates must email their resume and the following details: a link to a 1–2 minute introduction video hosted on a safe platform such as Vimeo, YouTube, Google, or similar; a short introduction covering education and teaching background; the source where they found the vacancy; and the exact position name they are applying for. If a video file is sent instead of a link, it must be under 20 MB.
Only complete applications will be considered because of the number of applications received.
Additional information
The role is intended for teachers who can meet a fixed schedule and maintain consistent attendance. Further opportunities may be available in the spring.
