About the Role
Tulley Automotive Group, a family-owned business serving the community since 1957, is seeking a motivated Onboarding Specialist to lead the candidate experience and support hiring operations. This position sits at the center of recruitment and onboarding, while also providing exposure to core HR functions such as payroll, benefits, and employee record management within a busy automotive environment.
If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and building a career in HR, this could be a strong fit.
What You Will Do
- Work with managers to understand staffing requirements and use the applicant tracking system to help match candidates to open positions.
- Handle screening steps, background verification, and eligibility checks while making sure each candidate experiences a smooth and welcoming process.
- Coordinate new-hire orientation, complete system setup for incoming employees, and guide their first day with the training and information needed for safety, compliance, and workplace culture.
- Support payroll and benefits administration, keep employee files current, and provide coverage across local locations when required.
- Serve as a helpful point of contact for policy-related questions and help preserve the positive, energetic workplace culture.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect quickly with applicants, managers, and leadership.
- Good analytical ability and a highly organized approach, with care taken to avoid missing details such as state reporting and system setup tasks.
- A willingness to learn HR processes from the beginning and grow within the field.
- Comfort working independently or as part of a team, along with readiness to travel between nearby locations as needed.
- An active driver’s license, since site visits are required.
- Solid time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- A proactive, can-do mindset.
Why Join Tulley
- Opportunity to build a long-term career in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
- A workplace that values balance, development, and inclusion.
- Competitive compensation with room for advancement.
- 401(k) retirement plan with dealer contribution.
- Employer-paid life insurance.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Short-term and long-term disability benefits.
- Accident insurance plus voluntary life and AD&D options.
- Employee Assistance Program for mental health and overall well-being.
- Paid time off, including vacation and personal time.
- Paid holidays.
