On Demand Courier (Bike Rider - Quick Commerce)

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated On Demand Courier (Bike Rider) to join our operations in Abu Dhabi Emirate, UAE. This role requires strict adherence to company policies and safety guidelines, emphasizing quick and efficient delivery within assigned territories as part of our quick commerce service.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply fully with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and EMX safety requirements.
• Support operational efficiency by reducing delays and handling exceptions appropriately.
• Maintain confidentiality when managing sensitive information.
• Perform timely pickups and deliveries aligned with planned routes, SLAs, and dispatch instructions using company applications.
• Accurately scan packages, update delivery statuses, and complete tasks via mobile tools.
• Handle Proof of Delivery (POD), Cash on Delivery (COD), and Credit Card on Delivery (CCOD) transactions following SOPs.
• Treat all packages carefully to avoid loss or damage.
• Meet individual delivery targets and qualify for performance incentives if applicable.
• Maintain the assigned vehicle, equipment, and delivery tools in safe and working order and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Report any road or site issues such as access restrictions, customer unavailability, or safety risks to ensure smooth service and continuous operational improvement.
• Engage professionally and courteously with customers during all interactions.
• Handle basic customer service inquiries and escalate complex issues to supervisors.
• Communicate proactively with Dispatch regarding delays or challenges.
• Record customer confirmations accurately as per procedures.
• Manage in-field exceptions like unavailable customers or payment issues within SOP; escalate unresolved matters as needed.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager related to this job.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience in courier, delivery, or related roles is preferred.
• Possession of a valid UAE bike driving license with at least one year of riding experience.
• Good knowledge of local geography and proficiency with navigation and delivery applications.
• Basic smartphone skills necessary to operate delivery and GPS apps.
• Physical fitness to sustain extended bike riding shifts.
• Strong communication and time management abilities.
• Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced setting handling multiple deliveries.
• Experience in quick commerce or rapid delivery models (such as 15-minute delivery) is advantageous.
