About the Role
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to join their award-winning Responsive Hospital Support Team, providing specialized support to patients aged 65 and above with mental health diagnoses in general hospital settings. This role involves working primarily at St Woolos Hospital and Nevill Hall Hospital, assisting patients who face both functional and organic mental health challenges under the guidance of Band 6 practitioners. Work locations span multiple general care facilities within the ABUHB trust, requiring flexibility to travel between sites.
Job Details
The position is fixed term/secondment for 12 months, concluding on 23rd July 2027, covering maternity leave. Applicants interested in secondment must have prior approval from their current line manager before applying. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 or 12:00 to 20:00, and weekends from 09:00 to 17:00. The ability to speak Welsh is preferred but not mandatory; English speakers are equally encouraged.
