Job description
Role Overview
This full-time, non-management position in Loss Prevention & Security is based at Al Ain Square in Al Towayya, Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. The role sits within the Aloft Hotels brand, part of Marriott International.
What You Will Do
- Routinely patrol the property and help guests access their rooms when needed.
- Keep watch over CCTV feeds, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and the fire/life safety system.
- Secure entrances when necessary and carry out regular checks for physical hazards.
- Respond to incidents, including accidents, disturbances, thefts, attacks, and emergencies, and involve EMS or provide first aid/CPR when required.
- Support guests and employees during emergency situations and escalate matters to the right people.
- Prepare incident reports, loss prevention shift summaries, and daily activity reports for all security-related events.
- Handle interruptions and complaints, resolve unsafe situations, and remove unauthorized individuals from the premises without disrupting hotel operations.
- Coordinate assistance for vehicle accidents and theft-related incidents using the proper code responses.
- Protect confidentiality of security records and property documents, sharing information only with authorized personnel.
- Investigate incidents, collect evidence, and interview relevant parties as needed.
- Follow company procedures, maintain a professional appearance, complete required safety training, and safeguard company assets.
- Provide courteous guest service, including acknowledging guests, supporting people with disabilities, and communicating clearly and professionally.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, uphold quality standards, and perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The job may require standing, sitting, or walking for long periods or across an entire shift. You may need to move quickly in response to situations, read small-print or other visual information, use computers or point-of-sale systems, and inspect tools or equipment closely. Physical demands can include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing items up to 50 pounds without help and over 75 pounds with assistance. The role can also involve bending, reaching, twisting, climbing stairs or ramps, and moving through narrow, uneven, slippery, or elevated spaces. Some U.S. states may require additional licensing or registration for this position.
