Odisha Police Recruitment 2020 for Sub Inspector, Station Officer and Assistant Jailor

About the Recruitment

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has announced the Combined Police Service Examination for the year 2019. This recruitment drive seeks to fill 104 vacancies across multiple roles including Sub Inspector, Station Officer (Fire Service), and Assistant Jailor.

Vacancies and Pay

• Sub Inspector of Police: 47 positions
• Station Officer (Fire Service): 13 positions
• Assistant Jailor: 44 positions

The positions offer a consolidated monthly salary of 6,880 during the first year of service.

Application Fee

• Candidates under General and OBC categories must pay a non-refundable application fee of 6,200.
• There is no application fee for SC and ST candidates.
• The fee payment must be completed online using Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be Indian citizens.
• Proficiency in the Odia language is required.
• Marital Status: Candidates who are married must ensure only one living spouse.
• Physical Condition: Candidates should be in good mental and physical health, free from any physical disabilities.

Selection Process

• Written Examination to assess relevant knowledge and aptitude.
• Viva Voce along with a Psychological Test.
