About the organisation

The response from the community helped the organisation grow into a respected national allied health provider. The team is now seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to contribute to assessments and therapy for clients aged 6 to 65 years.

Role overview

This is a permanent full-time Occupational Therapist opportunity based across multiple locations in South Australia. The position offers a salary of $73,000 to $110,000 plus superannuation, along with bonus potential. It is suited to someone who wants to build clinical capability while supporting children, adolescents and adults in the community.

Key duties

  • Carry out both assessments and therapy sessions for paediatric and adult clients in community settings.
  • Identify participant needs and create suitable intervention plans for a range of conditions, including neurological conditions, ASD and others.
  • Support clients with home modifications, from straightforward changes to more complex adaptations.
  • Recommend and prescribe equipment such as mobility aids, positioning supports, bathroom aids and seating.
  • Advise on assistive technology, including tools for self-care, low-tech solutions and learning supports.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate client care.
  • Take part in weekly team celebrations and share in progress milestones.
  • Meet regularly with a dedicated clinical supervisor and attend internal training sessions.
  • Report into the NDIS framework as part of service delivery.

Requirements

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
  • Previous clinical experience working as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Access to a personal vehicle and a current driver licence.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Ability to provide a Police Check.
  • Ability to provide a Working With Children Check.
  • Ability to provide an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
