About the Role

This opportunity is for an experienced, people-oriented manufacturing leader to oversee the Coopers Plains and Townsville sites in the Northern Region. As a member of the Vinidex Manufacturing Leadership Team, you will help shape a strong culture across safety, quality, operational delivery, continuous improvement and commercial performance.

The role is suited to someone who enjoys leading change, strengthening team capability, and improving manufacturing outcomes. You will also contribute to efficiency initiatives, capital projects and the long-term direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct manufacturing activities across both sites to achieve strong results in safety, quality and operations.
• Create a high-performing workplace through visible leadership, coaching and active workforce engagement.
• Roll out continuous improvement programs and embed Lean methods across the sites.
• Lead change initiatives that lift productivity, efficiency and overall business performance.
• Oversee budgets, conversion costs and capital investment projects to support commercial objectives.
• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Project teams to deliver business priorities.
• Build future leaders and strengthen capability within the manufacturing team.

Candidate Profile

You should be a proactive, solutions-driven leader with a strategic outlook who can balance operational discipline with strong people leadership. The role calls for someone who can build trust, influence stakeholders and guide teams successfully through change.

• Formal qualifications in Engineering, Business or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, ideally in FMCG, plastics, building products, industrial or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong background in change management and continuous improvement, with the confidence to challenge existing practices and introduce better methods.
• Proven ability to lead initiatives in safety, quality and operational excellence.
• Commercially aware and comfortable using technology, with experience managing budgets, costs and business results.
• Capability to spot opportunities, solve problems and deliver lasting operational improvements.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across the business.
• Experience leading large teams and/or multiple sites.
• Exposure to industrial relations and enterprise bargaining will be an advantage.
• Agile, accountable, curious and committed to ongoing growth.
