SpringHill Hotel is seeking a Night Porter to join its overnight team at the newly refurbished property in Kilkenny. This opportunity suits someone who enjoys hospitality work and is committed to placing guest needs first while delivering a consistently high standard of service.

Applicants must be available for full-time flexible hours. This position is not appropriate for students seeking summer-only work.

Key duties

• Greet guests and support overnight check-in and check-out activity.
• Handle guest questions and requests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
• Carry out regular security checks across public areas of the hotel.
• Make sure entry points, exits, and fire safety processes are properly followed.
• Assist with light cleaning in areas such as the lobby, corridors, and reception when required.
• Escalate emergencies, incidents, or suspicious behaviour to management and, where needed, the relevant authorities.
• Coordinate with reception and housekeeping to ensure an efficient shift handover.
• Complete routine end-of-day administration and night audit duties.
• Leave the hotel secure, clean, and ready for the morning team.

• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible night shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
