Night Hygiene Operative

Role overview

Sofina Foods Europe is hiring a meticulous and dependable Hygiene Operative to support the night shift in Kilkenny, County Kilkenny. This position plays an important part in keeping the production site clean, safe, compliant, and ready for audits at all times. By maintaining high hygiene standards, you will help protect food safety, support smooth production flow, and uphold operational quality.

Working hours and pay

This is a full-time night role operating Monday to Friday from 9:30pm to 6:00am. The hourly rate is €15.90.

Key duties

• Carry out deep cleaning of production areas using specialist cleaning tools and approved cleaning agents.
• Follow all hygiene rules, safety procedures, and standard operating processes.
• Keep machines, tools, and workspaces clean, orderly, and safe throughout the shift.
• Work according to site requirements for safety, quality, and workflow.
• Escalate faults, damage, or maintenance concerns to the Team Leader or Manager without delay.
• Support ongoing improvement activities across the site.
• Complete cleaning tasks in line with daily schedules and hygiene checklists.
• Make sure all work consistently meets the company’s hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
• Work closely with the team to achieve cleanliness and readiness targets.
• Take pride in maintaining a tidy, well-organised production environment.
