Role overview
Avara Foods is hiring a Night Hygiene Operative for its Brackley, Northamptonshire site. This role sits within a busy food manufacturing setting where cleanliness and hygiene are essential to keeping production running smoothly.
Working pattern
The shift pattern is 4 on / 4 off, from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.

About the environment
You will be working in a fast-moving FMCG production site that can be noisy and, in some areas, refrigerated. The facility makes products with a short shelf life, so strict hygiene control is a key part of the job.
Key duties
- Clean the factory to the required standard by following the company’s cleaning instruction cards
- Wash machinery using chemicals and jet washers so it is ready for production to restart
- Wipe down equipment after the main clean to make sure no residue remains
- Follow hygiene procedures and complete cleaning within the required timeframes so production can begin on schedule
What you need
- A solid grasp of English and basic numeracy
- Confidence working as part of a team and communicating clearly
- Careful attention to detail and a flexible approach to tasks
- Previous experience in production or manufacturing is helpful, but not required because full training is provided
