Role overview
This part-time Hygiene Operative position is based at a feed mill in Westbury, Wiltshire. You will work with the production team to keep the site clean, orderly, and aligned with customer and industry hygiene expectations. The role supports day-to-day operations and helps maintain a safe, efficient working environment.

Main duties
- Clean internal mill spaces using vacuum equipment and other suitable tools or products to remove dust and spillages, and keep outdoor areas tidy and presentable
- Raise any equipment or machinery concerns with maintenance staff or supervisors
- Follow all health and safety rules and procedures at all times
- Step in for production colleagues during breaks and annual leave
- Collect samples from the mill environment for laboratory testing
- Work independently to plan your workload and finish tasks efficiently
- Share duties as part of a job-share arrangement and hand over shifts smoothly
- Be available to cover alternative shifts during absences if required
What the employer is looking for
Full training will be provided. A basic grasp of production and hygiene activities is needed. Helpful but not essential experience includes a counterbalance forklift licence, prior work in hygiene or production settings, and familiarity with animal feed or agricultural environments.
