Job description
Overview
Under the supervision of the Head of the Psychology Department, this role involves delivering cost-efficient neuropsychological evaluations to aid diagnosis and patient rehabilitation within JurongHealth Service. The neuropsychologist is also expected to support community health empowerment via educational sessions and workshops.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform neuropsychological assessments to assist diagnosis for conditions such as intellectual disabilities, ADHD, and dementia, as well as rehabilitation support for stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological disorders in both inpatient and outpatient environments
- Provide assistance during awake craniotomy procedures
- Design and conduct educational talks and training sessions on neuropsychology for healthcare professionals and public audiences
- Manage administrative tasks including preparing monthly statistics and monitoring key performance indicators promptly
- Participate in clinical research projects as required
Requirements
- Possess a Master's degree in Clinical Neuropsychology
- Demonstrate passion for healthcare work
- Comfortable engaging with elderly patients
- Experience in hospital settings working with adolescent, adult, or geriatric populations is advantageous
- Capable of working autonomously within complex environments
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective team collaboration, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Eligible for registration or currently registered with the Singapore Psychological Society and the Singapore Register of Psychologists
- Willingness to work on Saturdays as needed
