Role Overview & Responsibilities
- Lead network planning efforts for JD Logistics' Middle East region, focusing on warehouse network strategies including layout design, site selection, and modeling.
- Plan sorting hubs by defining sorting layouts, selecting sites, and positioning sorting functions.
- Design transport capacity plans encompassing transshipment dispatch modes, routing, and scheduling.
- Manage terminal planning including station planning, selection of operational sites, and defining operational models.
- Drive the development of an efficient, full-chain logistics network for the Middle East from a global strategic perspective.
- Continuously refine network models, site selection approaches, and fulfillment practices to optimize operational effectiveness and support business growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve overall network efficiency in terms of time, cost, and performance, and coordinate execution of optimization plans.
- Develop and implement standardized rules and processes to enhance cross-departmental collaboration and ensure adherence to planning and optimization initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- Fluency in English with the ability to conduct meetings, prepare reports, and communicate effectively on projects.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in logistics network or process planning within the Middle East region, especially in e-commerce or major third-party logistics providers.
- Strong understanding of Middle East logistics industry trends and corporate business dynamics, including expertise in network resource allocation and planning principles.
- Excellent analytical, data interpretation, and summarization skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, or Python.
- Demonstrated project management skills and capability to coordinate across multiple departments, including willingness to travel periodically within the Middle East.
- Structured and methodical thinking with a talent for extracting key insights and methodologies from complex projects.
